Getting started as a 218 Marketplace maker
Your application is approved and your storefront is live. Follow these steps to publish your first listing and start selling across the region.
Your storefront is ready
We've created your public storefront page with your shop name, town, and bio. Buyers can find you on the vendor directory right away.
Open your dashboard and add your first listing
The vendor dashboard is linked to your account — that's where you add, edit, and retire listings. Tap "Add listing" and fill in photos, price, description, category, and stock.
Highlight what makes your craft unique
Whatever you make — woodwork, apparel, cabin decor, or pantry goods — use the materials and origin fields to tell the story behind it; buyers across the 218 shop here for authentic local provenance.
Authors and media makers can go further: offer a digital download at its own price and an autographed option with your premium, and checkout handles shipping only for physical copies.
Set shipping and local pickup
On each listing, choose whether you ship directly from your workshop, offer local pickup, or both. State your handling times and policy clearly so buyers know what to expect.
How you get paid
Buyers pay through the marketplace's secure checkout (Base44 Payments) — you never handle card details. Selling is free: no subscription, no listing fees. The marketplace takes a small flat fee per sale — $2.95 to $20 depending on the order total, and 5% capped at $75 on orders over $400; your net earnings are tracked in your payout ledger and remitted on a weekly rolling schedule.
Stay responsive and collect reviews
Shoppers can message you straight from your storefront and product pages — quick answers build your response-time reputation. Deliver on time and encourage happy buyers to leave reviews, which power your storefront rating.
You're all set
That's it — publish your listings and tell your customers to shop local. When you're ready, review the full onboarding guide and vendor terms for the details.
